What is the name of your business and what does it do?
Mktideas, the leading tourism, travel and real estate marketing agency in the Baja California Sur peninsula. We are proud of this place, its people and its beautiful landscape. Since Baja California Sur is one of the most beloved tourist destinations worldwide, the need for a local advertising agency that was both highly competitive and at the same time immersed in the local lifestyle was obvious to us.
What motivated you to start your marketing business?
Our agency was born like many dreams: from passion and the desire to break down barriers to touch the unknown; from nights wandering around thinking if it was worth the risk, but above all it was born from the impulse that told us: do it. The need for the kind of services we could provide was there; the only thing missing was for us to make a move.
What challenges does your marketing business face today?
One of the biggest challenges in online marketing today is the visual aspect: there is an incredible amount of stimuli competing for customers’ attention. That’s why our graphic design department is so important to us. Creativity and commitment is what we value most in that regard, and the results of that are reflected both in the quality of our service and in the satisfaction of our customers. Branding is both an art and a science, and to capture each of our clients’ business identities in a genuine and powerful way, we adhere to the highest standards. That’s why we have always nurtured these values within our own agency, resulting in our own brand identity being representative of our work. Stable and exciting. Rigorous and creative; without contradiction.
What opportunities is your business facing?
The most important opportunity in today’s landscape is to grow with our customers. We have found this to be the best mindset for the real customer-based marketplace. This time of great change in the online advertising landscape, with constant innovations being developed and adopted by the public on a daily basis, while disruptive to some, presents itself as a great source of opportunity for our agency. Mostly we have the opportunity, beyond the traditional services we offer, to serve as a kind of bridge between clients and companies. Our work is not only important for business growth in terms of business identification and finding their target audiences, but also, in this new landscape, we help clients find the best business-to-business deal, which ensures their success and provides them with stability.
